Education and Training
In addition to her work with children, Shane has provided therapy to families, helping them heal from the effects of domestic violence and relational trauma. She is dedicated to fostering supportive and nurturing environments for her clients. Shane is also a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Academy of Neuropsychology, which keeps her connected to the latest research and best practices in her field.
As she advances in her PsyD program, Shane looks forward to completing her doctoral internships and gaining specialized training in clinical neuropsychology. She is eager to contribute to the field through her clinical work, research, and advocacy for improved mental health services for children and families. In her free time, Shane enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her dog.
ABOUT ME
Shane Villanueva, M.A.
Psychological Associate
Shane is an aspiring pediatric neuropsychologist currently in her third year of a Psy.D. program at Fuller Theological Seminary. With a robust foundation in both private practice and community mental health settings, Shane has developed a comprehensive understanding of the diverse needs of children and families. Her academic pursuits are complemented by hands-on experience, working closely with children and adolescents who have ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and learning disabilities. She has experience conducting Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs), providing comprehensive assessments to support individualized educational planning and recommendations for students’ academic and developmental needs. Shane also has a particular interest in family dynamics and their critical role in a child’s development and mental well-being.
